21 Mai 2014 - 22 Mai 2014
Swiss NanoConvention 2014, Brugg Windisch (CH)
The Swiss NanoConvention (SNC) is the prime annual showcase for nanotechnology in Switzerland, bringing together experts from industry, universities, public research institutions, politics, and the media. If you are active in nanotechnology or interested in this field, participating at this event is a must for you. Since its start in 2011, the SNC has grown steadily and established itself as the only major public annual event in Switzerland on this topic. As a result the annual “Micro-Nano-Event” of the Swiss Commission for Technology and Inno- vation (CTI) has been integrated into the SNC.
After the major scientific breakthroughs in nanoscience more than 30 years ago – like the scanning tunneling microscope in Switzerland – nanotechnology has become a mature field with many applications in our daily life and in industrial production. In 2014 we therefore put the focus of the SNC more on applications and the opportunities of nanotechnology for small and medium enterprises. This coincides perfectly with the formation of the “Hightechcenter Aargau” in 2013 in Brugg. It is a central part of the high-techstrategy of the canton of Aargau with a focus on nanotechnology.
